Dr. Bronner’s All in One Magic Soap

Dr Bronner's Liquid Soap

Though most often travelers find themselves in accommodations that provide some source of soap, I don’t think anyone realizes its invaluable nature till there isn’t any.  Luckily for us, we discovered Dr. Bronner’s Magic All in One Liquid Soap and had the insight to make it a Traveling Miss Essential.

Not knowing how easy soap would be to come by in Africa, we brought this “18 in 1″ soap to Tanzania and I don’t know how we would have lived without it.  We used it as our hand soap, shampoo, bodywash, laundry detergent, toothpaste, stinky-little-kid-cleaner; we washed dishes and even went so far as to use it as a toilet bowl disinfectant…now if you could just drink the stuff when you are thirsty it would be perfect. While even the packaging is reminescent of the  “health elixirs” of the vintage classics Sears, Roebuck Catalogue, this is without a doubt a must have.

One small thing to note: the peppermint tingles, so be careful round the privys…

I LOVE Dr. Bronner’s and take it camping/traveling everywhere. They do have other scents like lavender and calendula, which helps avoid the “crotch tingle”, which I also have experienced from wanting clean parts and being over zealous/forgetful of the effects…..
